In the past few months some exciting things have been happening at BIA. First, we finished our fourth year of classes. Also,we have been been moving steadily in the direction of accreditation with TRACS. It is a goal we have had from opening day of BIA. A few weeks ago our executive board had the priviledge to spend some time with TRACS in Virginia. Those we met with gave us great insight and the process we will follow. There is much work to do but with God's help we are headed in that direction.
The second thing that has been exciting is about Baptist University of America. BUA was a thriving college in Atlanta in the mid-seventies and eighties. It began in Florida in 1972. Dr. Al Janney, the founder of BUA and its first president, has given our school the charter for BUA. What a great priviledge and honor it is for BIA to now have this charter. Over 1200 students attended BUA during its operation and they will be able to receive transcipts as well as be a part of an alumni association. A special date has been set for the offical charter transfer. Dr. Al Janney will be with the Corinth Baptist Church in Loganville, GA on August 1, 2010. He will preach during the morning service at 11:00 AM and the evening service at 6:00 PM. During the evening service will be the offical transfer of the charter to BIA. Any BUA Alumni that can attend that evening will be invited to a fellowship after the service. RSVP to tfoskey@corinthonline.org.
Continue to pray for and partner with BIA.
