Why Attend BIA?
There are many different reasons young people and old people alike choose BIA. Some come for the Christian education at one of the few fundamental, Bible-believing, Baptist schools. Others come to simply increase their knowledge on the Scriptures. Whatever your reason for coming, BIA's structure and strong Christian approach provide the setting many young and old people enjoy at college.
Your higher learning journey starts at the BIA admissions office. We want to equip you with the right answers to all your questions about BIA. We want to help you find the right degree that fits your needs.

Admission Procedures
Spiritual Requirements
Evidence of personal faith in Jesus Christ as Saviour is essential. An applicant’s faith should be demonstrated through consistent Christian character and testimony. Because it is the intention of Baptist Institute of America to train men and women for a life of service, it is expected that applicants will already be engaged in Christian service in their local churches. All students enrolling in the Institute must be in basic agreement with the core beliefs of our school.
Academic Requirements
There are six requirements to be fulfilled before your enrollment status is complete:
- Completion of enrollment application with all fees and tuitions paid. Click here to download an enrollment application.
- Transcripts from previous colleges and high schools attended.
- Salvation testimony and reasons for wanting to enroll in Baptist Institute of America.
- Recent photograph of you.
- Three recommendations (including one from the applicant’s pastor).
- SAT or Act or GRE scores.
Transfer of Credits
Academic work completed at other recognized colleges may be accepted, provided official transcripts from all colleges are sent directly to the Office of Admissions and Records at Baptist Institute of America. Each set of transcripts will be evaluated individually by the Academic Dean.
Correspondence Credits
Baptist Institute of America will accept correspondence credits in applicable courses from regionally accredited or recognized colleges which have predominantly residency programs. The maximum number of correspondence hours allowed is 15 semester credit hours.
